Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a thermoplastic resin that is practically resistant to all fluids. Of all our diaphragm materials, it is the most chemically resistant. PTFE is non-elastic, limiting its use in certain applications. PTFE can be used with media reaching very high temperatures up to 260° Celsius.
A diaphragm is normally used to reliably separate different media or spaces with different pressures. One of the main requirements is chemical resistance to aggressive media. Precisely defined flexibility and a long service life are also important criteria.
PTFE Diaphragm is widely used in Oil chemical industries, Coal industries, paper making, weave, food, beverage, pharmaceutical and bioprocessing industries.
PTFE Diaphragms Properties:
- Good reverse bending strength
- Almost universal chemical resistance
- Highly suitable for sterilization
- Temperature resistance –60°C to +200°C
- FDA-approved and therefore suitable for contact with
- food and pharmaceutical products
- Freedom of design
- Homogeneous material structure
PTFE Diaphragm Application:
